Introduction

It is our pleasure to announce the International Military Ethics Symposium, which will take place 5-8 March 2002. Additionally there will be a programme for the international delegates 9-10 March 2002. The symposium will take place at the Adazi Training Center (ATC) in Riga Latvia.

On January 10th the Commanding Officer of Defence Forces of Latvia signed the formal document giving authorization for the Symposium.

The Symposium is being hosted by the Chief of Chaplains of Latvia, Lt. Raimond Locs and will be assisted by ACCTS.

Practical Information

Most all symposium presentations will be given in English. It is hoped to also have translation into Latvian and Russian. The international guests will live in Defence Forces' Hotel in Riga (two delegates in each room) the cost is $20 per person + $5 for breakfast. About 40 delegates can live there. For those who can afford more comfort and higher expenses we suggest Hotel Viktoria.

Delegates from Eastern and Central European countries may apply for scholarships to cover travel costs etc.
