Military Ethics from the International Military Tribunals at Nuremberg and of the former Yugoslavia; a dissertation proposal

This paper is a research proposal to deal with war and crimes of war under international law by analysing two international law documents (The Charter of the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg and Statutes of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia).
The dissertation proposal provides a general introduction to the research. The distinction between moral and legal aspects within the international Law of war is addressed.
Problems within the Laws of War are reviewed. Lastly, five different approaches to the research and a dissertation outline are proposed.
